Fishing in the Local Area
There are plenty of opportunities for both sea and river fishing in the area. Whether it is fly fishing on the Argideen or Bandon rivers, trout fishing at Lisselan, bass fishing from the sea shore or deep sea angling, all give great choice for those interesting in the sport.
Sea Angling
Sea angling trips can be organised by Willem van Dijk and Butch Roberts of Kinsale Deep Sea Angling. They operate two 43ft Aquastar fast craft "Harpy" and "Whispering Star" as well as a 38ft Aquastar "Sundance". Groups or individuals are welcome to make up a boat party.

River Fishing
The nearby Bandon river which runs into Kinsale Harbour is primarily a salmon and sea trout river but there are also plenty of small trout, particularly in the lower reaches. The river gets an excellent run of sea trout commencing in early July and lasting through August.
